2nd May 2010. PS2 Gallery, Belfast, Northern Island. 1 hour 30 min
This involved me walking from my house, upper Ormeau road, Belfast to PS2 Gallery, Belfast, Cathedral Quarter. This was part of a performance event called Performance Sundays, curated by Hugh O’Donnell. As a forementioned I walked down the Ormeau road barefooted carrying one bucket of burning embers of turf. This was a personal journey for me and given the history of the road I was relating, revealing and reflecting as the walk continued to the gallery.
At the gallery I carried out a series of actions which combined with the walking carrying the turf; barefooted acted as a physical mental and emotional journey towards redemption.
