The Martydom of Saint Sebastian

This work is based on a painting by Andrea Mantegna 1506. I dealt with the feelings of isolation pain and wounding. I had a slide of the Saint projected onto my body; then blood was drawn from my right arm I was blind folded using this as a metaphor to show.

Peoples’ prejudices to certain issues, such as the stigma attached to homosexuality and AIDS, and how both these issues plague modern and contemporary society.
